Okay, I really wanted to put this with the sound and everything onto my Assignments page, but I wasn’t sure how to copy it.  Then I managed to get this visual saved under My Dashboard’s so-called Media section, but I still have no idea how to use it from there.  Well, definitely read the page and my explanation of this strange video, where I posted the link (as well as in the sidebar of this site).  But if you’re not here to read my homework, feel free to enjoy this as is.  Sorry I fail at copying sound, but even saving the website’s components to my computer seemed to do nothing, as the format of the files was something unrecognizable.  Hopefully I’ll learn to deal with these things sooner or later, but for now, I’m a bit fed up with media on this particular blog site.

On a second note… HAHAHAHA brilliant!  Even though it is clearly animated as I am editing this post, the image appears to be still when I actually put it up.  Media 1 – Stephanie 0.

NOTE: It was only not animated when I had the theme set as “Girl in Green.”  Now it seems to work just fine.

So I just posted my homework assignment, at 10:52 pm or somewhere thereabouts, knowing it to be due before midnight, and I was rather baffled to find the time listed as 2:12 pm.  Maybe that’s the time of day I created the reading response page,  before adding the actual content?  I really don’t know.  To be safe, I went ahead and double-checked that my time setting is correct… as far as I can tell, it is, although having to adjust for daylight savings time confused me a bit, as I distinctly remembered learning in Meteorology last spring that the Central Time Zone is 6 hours off.  Regardless, everything should be in on time.  Maybe I’m just not looking in the right place…?  Oh well.  At least I know I posted it on time, no matter what my blog says.  Later.

Hello, world!  (Or should I say, John…)  So I’m new to this whole blogging idea, and I’m going to ask you to bear with me as I attempt to set things up here.  Hopefully I’ll figure things out as the semester goes on.  My brother’s a computer engineer, so I feel like I should share some of the same technologically advanced genes (if there are such things).  Or maybe he’s just the genius of the family.  Who knows?  Genius is in the eye of the beholder.  Anyway, here’s my first attempt at a blog, like it or not.  I still don’t even know what the word blog means.  Maybe I’m not supposed to, and it’s just one of those words added to the latest edition of Merriem-Webster because the old words aren’t changing in meaning rapidly enough.  I wonder…  I guess I sometimes take the Socratic approach to life, always digging deeper and questioning why things are the way they are.  Well, I’ve run out of things to ramble about, so now I’m going to end my first blog.  Good morrow, and good luck!

NOTE:  I was reminded in class of the meaning of blog, and I guess deep down I did know it, but to be fair, I had forgotton.
